Park and Ride

Avoid parking hassles & Get to/from Octoberfest & License to Cruise SAFELY ...

Annually Octoberfest draws 200,000+ attendees and we understand that parking can get congested, especially as the day progresses. In an effort to relieve that congestion and to better cater to event attendees, we have reserved exclusive parking locations for cabs and charter or shuttle buses.

VALLEY TRANSIT:  Valley Transit is offering $0.25 fares on all bus routes during Friday night's License to Cruise on Friday, September 28th, 2018, beginning at 3:45 p.m. Check out www.myvalleytransit.com/octoberfest for bus routes near your neighborhood or call 920-832-5800 to get route information from Valley Transit’s friendly dispatchers . Please note that there is no special service to Park & Ride lots on Friday.

The $0.25 fares are good again on all Valley Transit bus routes and from special Park & Ride locations on Saturday, September 29th, 2018, during Appleton's Octoberfest:

·         Fox Valley Technical College (bus pick up/drop off is at the bus shelter in East Lot near Entrance 1)

·         Appleton East High School (bus pick up/drop off is at the bus shelter on Schaefer Street)

·         Goodwill Industries – Menasha (bus pick up/drop off is at the bus shelter on Appleton Road. Please do not park in front of retail store!)

·         Valley Packaging – Roemer Road location (bus pick up/drop off is at the bus shelter near the building)

Valley Transit's special park & ride shuttles start after 8:45 AM on Saturday and run a continuous loop from downtown Appleton to each lot. Service is approximately every 30 minutes but may be closer to 45 minutes during peak times (late morning and late afternoon) due to heavy traffic downtown. This special shuttle service ends at 6:30 PM on Saturday, but regular bus route service will continue.  Last route buses will depart the Transit Center at 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

All Valley Transit rides will drop off and reload at the Transit Center on Washington Street (next to the Appleton Public Library).

For more information, go to www.myvalleytransit.com/octoberfest or call 920-832-5800.

CAB CORRAL ... Access a Cab/Taxi or UBER safely on Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Appleton Street. This is only one block north of the event.

Some area establishments will be running charter bus shuttles to/from Octoberfest (see Tanner's information below).  This is the same area that they will be allowed to safely unload and reload throughout the day of Octoberfest.

ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS:  Attendees with accessibility needs can find convenient parking and access to the event by using one of the City of Appleton parking ramps. For more information on ramp locations please see the Event Map tab on this website.

BIKE PARKING:  Fox Cities Cycling Association and Appleton Bicycle Shop will be offering a bike parking lot at 121 South State Street. It will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m on Saturday during Octoberfest.

SHUTTLE FROM KIMBERLY:  Tanner’s Grill and Bar in Kimberly will offer a continuous shuttle on Saturday during Octoberfest from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM.  For only $5 a person you get unlimited trips back and forth from Tanners to downtown, coupons for 10% off Tanners food, and a free domestic tap beer at Mill Creek!  Their bus picks up in the front parking lot of Tanner’s and drops off at the designated area on Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Appleton Street (see Cab Corral section above).
